NALANI RIOS

Nalani grew up in Pasadena and attended Pasadena City College. They then transferred to Cal State Los Angeles where they graduated with a BA in Business Administration - Marketing. About a year after, Nalani enrolled in Citrus College for their cosmetology program and completed it in November 2023. They are now a licensed stylist in training assisting at The Artform Studio.

I was inspired to do hair when…

I was younger I always changed up my hair color and experimented in my kitchen with my mom. After finishing college and feeling unfulfilled at my job, I decided to revisit the idea of doing hair. I attended cosmetology school and was surrounded by creative people like myself which cemented the idea that this is the path for me.

When I’m not at Artform…

Spending time with my friends and family. Playing my Nintendo switch, going to concerts or learning new crafts and hobbies.
