Wow, the weather here in LA is still pretty hot! Just because there's a heat wave doesn't mean we can't be in the fall spirit! Think about transitioning to different styles like a soft pixie, warm copper, a lived-in mod cut, purples, and deep browns.

Filipino American History Month

Join us here at Artform on October 10th for traditional Filipino bites and live DJ mixes from Project Four Filipino Kitchen, DJ NickyBoi, and some latin grooves from Rebecca! We'll be discussing Filipino history, fashion, music, and stories from immigrant parents.

Rosebud Coffee - Coffee with a Cause

A huge thank you to Rosebud Coffee and Coffee with a Cause for helping support our Wax Wednesdays: Latin Heritage Month.

Coffee With A Cause is a nonprofit based at Rosebud Coffee on Figueroa Street. They young adults ages 16–24 who have experienced foster care, homelessness, or justice-system involvement gain the skills, experience, and connections they need to build successful careers.

We are excited to be included in this program and will be providing internship opportunities with them!

Música y Poemas 2026

Also happening on October 10th is the 4th Annual Música y Poemas. This is a free, family-friendly festival on Figueroa Street that brings local artists, youth activities, and essential community resources.

The event will close off Figueroa to thru traffic so please plan ahead for appointments! Good news is that parking enforcement will be relaxed at specific LADOT parking lots.
