Artist Spotlight - Angela Muñoz

Angela is an LA native that has collaborated with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest on her album Introspection and released her debut EP Descanso with Stones Throw. In this record, Angela pays homage to her roots: her father who arrived in Highland Park from Mexico in the ’70s, where he met her mother, of mixed Puerto Rican and Mexican heritage. She also covered Noche No Te Vayas by Los Tres Caballeros’, a 1960s classic, dedicating it to her parents and grandparents.
