DEPTH

April edition in honor of the 1987 NYC underground Vogue Ballroom scene.

Artform Artist Jazmin Hicks takes us more in DEPTH with the very influential Voguing scene that brought about greats such as Willi Ninja, and represented a different form of expression for art, fashion, and dance.

Our voguing queen was Kameko Ogg, the director of the dance organization Mighty Shock LA, giving us nothing but fierceness all night long. Styled by Artform Artist and Founder Sherry Younge, along with makeup handled by other Artform Artist Kaz Shimada. A portion of our proceeds for this particular event were donated to Culture Shock LA, which is a troupe of individuals who through the power of music and dance cultivate self-worth, dignity, and respect for all people.

This DEPTH was so exciting to execute and most definitely had a lively selection of music, truly recreating those New York City 80's vibes that we all remember so well.
